The entire length of the southern coast of Spain –
from the Costa Blanca to the Costa de la Luz - has long been known for its sun, sand, hospitality,
gastronomic variety, “fiesta” lifestyle, and expansively varied scenery. The southern-most part of
the coast is commonly known as the Costa del Sol. But, within the region of Andalucia, east of the
more commercial and hurried part of the Costa del Sol, lies the Costa Tropical on the coast of
Granada province. Here you will find a unique micro-climate, lush mountainous areas dotted with picturesque
classic villages and “cortijos” (country farms terraced on hills), numerous natural trails, caves, and expansive beaches - it is nature at its best. You will find a tremendous range of different cuisines, abundance of sports activities, the most amazing sunrises and sunsets and a Spanish lifestyle that is envied around the world. You will always find a spot to call your own."
After arriving at Malaga aiport, following the Mediterranean coast eastwardly you
will find the towns of Nerja, La Herradura, Almuñécar, Salobreña and Motril along
the Costa Tropical. Upland about 20 minutes from the coast lie quaint Andalucian
villages such as Jete, Otivar, Itrabo and in the Alpujarra mountain area the
charming towns of Bubion, Capileira, and many more. Each one has its own personality and
sightseeing offerings: Phoenician ruins, Roman acqueducts, caves and castles, scuba diving,
paragliding, horseback riding, climbing, bicycling and natural parks..
So for your most important day imagine gathering your closest family and friends in such an environment – enjoying your reception touched by gentle sea breezes – spending your recreational time snorkeling, scuba diving or golfing – enjoying a night on the town at tapa bars, taking in a flamenco performance, or relaxing over a fine bottle of Spanish wine at a local “chiringuito” (beachside restaurant) on a clear starry night.
And if you decide to wander, the cities of Granada, Malaga, Cordoba, and Sevilla are between 1 and 3 hours away....Madrid is a mere 5 hour car ride.......but you´ll probably want to stay a couple of days as each city has its own charming history, experience and rhythmic lifestyle.
